We are blessed to have experienced and caring teachers for each of our classes!

Carla Gearhart – Threes Teacher
Mrs. Carla returned to the Huntsville area a year ago due to her love of the area and her husband’s retirement from the Army (finally). She has been teaching music since she was 16 years old and has a B.A. in Music Education from Penn State. Mrs. Carla took a few years away from the classroom to raise her three daughters and to teach and mentor young Girl Scouts as their Troop Leader for many years. When her youngest started elementary school, Mrs. Carla returned to the classroom and taught preschoolers at a school very much like Hope. She also developed and implemented a music program for all ages at the school. Her love of helping children discover skills and the world around them is her favorite thing about teaching. In her free time, Mrs. Carla enjoys spending time with her family, camping, reading, and making music.

Stef Sterling – Threes Teacher
Ms. Stef has over 10 years of experience working with children of all ages.  She earned a B.S. in Elementary Education from Auburn University, and has worked at Sylvan Learning Center as a tutor and with MindGear Labs here in Huntsville, where she developed curriculum and led workshops based on hands-on and interactive learning for preschoolers through middle school students.  Ms. Stef loves children and helping them discover and grow through play.  In her free time, she also loves to read, hone her skills at trivia (she’s a champ!), spend time with her nieces and nephews, and spoil her mini-dachshund, Napoleon.

Marisa Noworyta – Director and Fours Teacher
Mrs. Marisa has worked with children for over 18 years. She has a B.S. in Special Education from The University of South Florida and has taught children ranging from preschool through 8th grade, and previously served as a Director of Children’s Ministry.  Mrs. Marisa truly enjoys teaching children and her heart is with the little ones. She and her husband, Kevin, are blessed with two children—a daughter in 5th grade and a son in 2nd grade.  She spends a lot of time on the soccer field and Taekwondo gym watching her children and enjoying every minute! Mrs. Marisa also enjoys spending time with family, photography, playing board games, and exploring new places.
